A typical day for Riley and Ethan

Riley and Ethan usually wake up around 7 a.m. As soon as they wake up they are both ready to go outside and play... but I'm not. So, the boys watch tv and eat breakfast, while I get caught up on the computer and I drink my coffee.

When they are outside, Riley loves to ride his bike and go for walks in our neighborhood.

Ethan likes to get into trouble.

They also like to play with bugs.

This is a roly poly they found the other day. Both of them loved watching it crawl on their hand and then go into a ball.

I bought this water table last summer. They ask to play with it everyday. It usually entertains them for at least 30 minutes. If you don't have a water table, I highly recommend getting one.

When they aren't outside, they are eating....

painting...

or playing Nick Jr. on the computer.

By 7 p.m. they are completly worn out and ready for bed.

Better late, than never

I am very late getting my Easter post up, but it took me a few weeks to get some pictures.

Before we left for Hendersonville, the Easter bunny brought some goodies for the boys.

Riley got a Zhu Zhu pet

and Ethan got a Curious George DVD- that we all love!

Then we headed to Hendersonville to spend Easter with my family. Our festivities began with an Easter egg hunt at Mimi and Poppy's house on Friday.

Riley's cousins, Chayse & Austin

Then all the kids dyed Easter eggs. Ethan wanted to participate also, so we let him play with an egg.

On Saturday morning, we went to McDonalds with my dad, stepmom, my kids, my sister, and her children. Then we headed to a high school where they had The Big Ol' Egg Drop. They dropped a total of 20,000 plastic eggs from a helicopter.

There were plenty of eggs for all the children there.

The kids had a lot of fun!

On Saturday night, I went to Long Hollow Baptist Church with my children, sister, and her children. It was a little weird going to an Easter service on Saturday night but I really wanted to go with my sister and it worked out better for her to go on Saturday. I'm really glad we went because it was an amazing service!

On Sunday, the kids had another Easter egg hunt at Big Daddy and Dee Dee's house.

A horrible stomach bug ended up following us to Hendersonville. Riley only threw up once on Friday and I am so glad it didn't hit him hard. Then on Monday I was extremely sick and I'll spare you the details. Ethan also got sick on Monday. Then by Tuesday it hit my sister and her husband. It went on and on, until every single one of my family member had it- a total of 11 people.  :(  So, I'm sorry to all of my family for spreading the horrible virus!

Ethan's new do

Ethan's last haircut was 3 months ago. It was getting in his eyes so he needed a trim. I took him to the barber that Tim and Riley go to.

Before:

After:

Kevin took too much off, but I guess it was time for a "big boy" haircut. Both of my boys are growing up way too fast.

Fun with a box

Its amazing how entertaining a box can be.

A Weekend Away

This past weekend I went to Pigeon Forge, TN with 9 of my friends from church. It ended up being a really good weekend but it was also hard. Ethan was sick and it was hard being away from him. I wanted to be the one to take care of him while he was sick and I think God had different plans for me. Tim did a great job taking care of both of our boys! Here on some pictures from the weekend.

Hello Spring!!!

Spring is officially 11 days away, but its finally beginning to feel like Spring! On Monday, we took our first walk of the year to the playground by our house.

The boys enjoyed getting out and it was great exercise for myself.

This was the first time Ethan was getting to go to the park since he's been walking. He didn't know what to do first.

They both loved playing in the sand.

Then we took a little walk. Aren't they the most precious brothers you've ever seen?
