A Great Day To Go To The Park

The weather was so nice this afternoon and I decided to take Riley and Ethan to the park. We walked to it since we live less than a mile from the park. The boys enjoyed the ride and its great exercise for me. On the way back there is a "killer" hill, especially with the double stroller.
I think fresh air is great for kids! I'm so glad the weather is beginning to get warmer! I hope the warmer temperatures are here to stay!

The great thing about walking to the park is that I don't have to clean sand out of the car!

Ethan enjoyed being outside, too!

Ethan

I wanted to devote this post just to Ethan. Sometimes he gets put in the shadow of his brother since Riley is doing so much right now.

Ethan is a GREAT baby! He is laid back and usually very happy. He's a little cuddler! I love sitting in his room and rocking him.
He loves looking at his brother. On Wednesday he was laughing at Riley. I didn't think Riley was doing anything funny but Ethan did. I love seeing Ethan smile!

Ethan will be 5 months old on March 5th. In a few weeks I will start him on cereal. He's just started sleeping through the night! I love sleeping through the night also!!

Ethan has been on the verge of rolling over for a few days. Tonight he rolled over from his stomach to back in his crib! I was proud of him but also a little bummed that I missed it.

At Ethan's 4 month check-up he weighed 14 pound 14 ounces.

Let's make it official!

Am I a "Non-Trad" Now?

When I was in college we called anyone that was "old" a Non-Trad. Basically, it was anyone over the age of 22 that was going back to college. You know who I'm talking about... they always sat in the front, wrote down every single word the teacher said, sometimes brought their kids to class, and asked really pointless questions that always kept everyone from leaving early.

Well, I'm back on ETSU's campus after graduating 6 years ago. I still can't believe its been that long. But I'm not coming back as a student. About a month ago I joined the gym at ETSU.

I've really been enjoying going to the gym. I've been learning how to use the weights and I'm trying to get back into shape to run local races again. Also, I'm working hard to loose my baby weight I gained with both my boys.
Being back on campus has reminded me of when I attended ETSU. Those were good times. I loved living with my friends in our apartment. I didn't realize then how easy I had it.

I have learned that at night the gym is the place to be. Tonight I went there around 5:00 and it was so crowded. I think I'll go back to going in the morning when the students are either in class or still sleeping.

Riley likes going to the child care. Today he wanted to wear his Wonder Pets cape to the gym. He's been running around the house all day saying, "Super Riley!"

Still Here

I haven't posted in awhile because there just doesn't seem to be much going on here. Its been very cold here lately and I am ready for Spring so that we can get outside and play!

So here are some pictures of the kids while we've been cooped up.

Riley loves working puzzles. He got one of these puzzles for Christmas. Now everyday he says, "Work puzzle, Mommy!" My sister got Riley one with trucks and then I got him this one a week ago from Barnes and Noble.

Ta Da!!

Ethan is big enough for his exersaucer now. It will entertain him for about 15 minutes.

Say "Cheese!"

Today I've been working on a Valentine's Day project and I wanted to get a cute picture of the boys together. I only have a few pictures of them together because its so hard to get Riley to smile for a picture- especially if you want him to and he's not in the mood. I was trying every trick to get him to smile and it just wasn't going to happen.

So I decide I would try again later and this is what he looked like "later."

He drew all over his face with a washable marker while I was cleaning up his mess he had just made with the paint. I will have to say that he did a pretty good job. I like the star above his eye. Daddy had a good laugh when he came home!

Of course, then he was ready to smile for the camera and I was able to get some cute pictures for my project. I guess that's just the way it goes.

Our Day

My morning started at 5:30 by feeding Ethan. Then by the time I got him back to sleep, Riley was awake at 6:30- ready to play with play dough. (I told him it was way to early to be getting the play dough out!) Thankfully, both the boys took a good nap so I was able to get some rest also.

After Riley's nap I took him out to play in the snow.

It was so cold!

So we came in and I made Riley his first cup of hot chocolate!

Ethan enjoyed playing in the floor. He will be 4 months old on Thursday. The time has flown by. He is such a sweet baby boy!
Riley loves his little brother. He calls him "ET."

After we got Riley and Ethan in bed, Tim gave me a card and roses. Today is our 7th year anniversary of when we first started dating. Tim was 19 and I was 22. We had been friends for about 6 months but on February 4, 2002 sparks flew and our lives have forever been changed! My life is better than I could have ever imagined and I'm so happy being married to my best friend!
I'm very impressed that Tim remembered because we haven't celebrated that day since we've been married. Honestly, I had forgotten.

Tim is handy and romantic. What more could a girl ask for?

My Handy "Mann"

We have been living in our new house for 4 months and we love it! It is exactly what our family needed. Atheistically we want to change a few things. Tim has changed out light fixtures, painted, put up a new railing, and done many other things to improve our house. Last week he finished the boys bathroom and it looks GREAT! This was his first tiling project and it turned out perfect! Riley loves it too!
