Halloween Activities

We've had a busy week with Halloween activities. Riley and Ethan have enjoyed dressing up and they have the candy to prove it!

It all began with a "Candy Parade" at Riley's school. Ethan was even able to join in.

Saturday night we went Trick-or-Treating at Papa Don and Mrs. Carol's house

Then we headed to Tim's parent's neighborhood to Trick-or-Treat

Tim's Grandparents

Captain America and Batman are ready to go!

Lastly, on Sunday we went to the Trunk-or-Treat at our church. Riley was so excited to be with his best friends, Grant and Corinne!

We all had a fun week! Now I'm off to eat some candy!!   :)

Scarlett & Rhett

On Friday night, Tim and I attended CASA's Red Shoe Masquerade Ball. We decided to rent costumes this year and I'm so glad we did. Our costumes just fell into place and before we knew it we were Scarlett and Rhett.

The event was held at Maple Lane Farm in Johnson City.

Tim's parents and their neighbors also joined us.

My dad recently gave me one of my grandmother's necklaces. It was special to be able to wear it! It went perfect with my dress.

I don't have a picture of Tim's shoes, but he won the competition for men's best red shoes! We all had a great time and we are looking forward to dressing up next year.

Riley's Room

It seems like it wasn't that long ago that Tim was doing this....

and putting together Riley's crib just before he was born.

It also seems like it wasn't that long ago that his room looked like this.

But over night (so it seems), our little boy turned into a big boy and he was out growing his crib/toddler bed. He loved sleeping in it with the tent on top of it. I felt like, since he is four, it was time to get him a "big boy bed." When I was taking down his bed on Sunday, I was sad that he getting too big for his bed but I was also excited about painting his room and getting something he needed.

We asked Riley what kind of room he wanted and he said he wanted a rocket room. Here's how it turned out.

Our most priceless piece of artwork.

While were working on his room, he slept in the playroom. He thought that was so cool! When we did a grand reveal of his room on Thursday morning. He loved his new room!

Its still a work in progress. We are still waiting on some rocket decals and my mom is going to do some rocket artwork. We were all pleased with how it turned out!!

He is a wiggler and he just fell out of his bed. I tried to put his side rail on and he didn't want it on there. So now there are pillows beside his bed.

Ethan's 2nd Birthday

Today my baby turned 2. He really is turning into a little toddler. He is talking more and more everyday and he's beginning to play more with Riley.

This morning I took him to Chuck E. Cheese to play for a little while.  Then we when got home I tried to lay him down for a nap but he wouldn't go to sleep. This is very uncharacteristic for Ethan because normally, he a great napper.

Tonight, we took Rliey and Ethan to Wallabies. They just opened up here so neither one of the boys had been there before. They LOVED it!

Then I knew when Ethan started sucking on his fingers it was time to go.

We headed to Fudruckers (a.k.a. Foodruckers at our house) to eat dinner and a Birthday cookie. Ethan really likes Mickey Mouse right now so he wanted to have a Mickey cake.

It was a great day and I am looking forward to many more Birthdays with Ethan!

Our Little Soccer Player

Riley has been playing soccer now for a few weeks. I think he's enjoyed playing. His favorite part of soccer has been practice. He likes having a ball to himself and he likes it when his coach chases him.

It certainly has kept us busy, with practice on Wednesday and games on Thursday and Saturday

At this point, they are learning to kick the ball in the right direction and to not touch the ball with their hands.

Riley also LOVES water breaks!

Riley's Team
.

At the end of every game, they always huddle in

and yell, " BANDITS!" (The name of his team.)

Here is a short video of Riley playing. He is #3.
